Types of Screen Printing
SPOT COLOR: By far the most common, uses clean art with solid or gradient colors suited for light and dark garments. Examples of this type of printing include Fire Department shirts or company logos and text info such as phone numbers and websites etc.
4-COLOR PROCESS: A method of screen printing where the cyan, magenta, yellow and black mix on the shirt to form a wide range of tones and shades. Perfect for photorealistic images such as full color photographs and murals benefits include an almost limitless range of tones, drawback is that it only works on white shirts.
SIMULATED PROCESS: A method of printing in which the printer tries to reproduce the 4 color process on dark shirts by separating colors, it does not have the tonal range that 4 color process has but can be printed on any color shirt.
